Business Development Manager – Rochester NY

Job Description

The Business Development Manager is responsible for goal attainment in an assigned geographic territory. Call points will include a focus on General Staffing and/or Medical. The Business Development Manager will exemplify business acumen to maintain and develop plans in the direct sale of high-impact staffing to [Manufacturing / Packaging / Distribution / Hospitality] and/or [Hospitals / LTC / Private Practices]. In addition, the Business Development Manager develops a territory by generating a strong lead list of qualified prospects. The candidate should exemplify a proven track record of sales achievements coupled by a strong work ethic to open new business. Our extensive sales & product training program promotes a sales centric environment providing selling skills in combination with product education in a consultative approach. The Business Development Manager must be comfortable in the industry and act as a resource to our customers. The Business Development Manager must work in collaboration with the team and management to execute corporate directives. Our Business Development Managers are highly skilled professionals that are resourceful, independent, and self-disciplined with the ability to develop and maintain business relationships.

Responsibilities of the High Performance BDM:

  • Execute upon well-defined and organized sales/business development plan.
  • Develop new business in the following industries: healthcare, general staffing/labor, clerical, hospitality, and professional services. 
  • Assist in organizing events, job fairs, open houses, etc. to promote ABoldCo brands.
  • Execute upon search engine optimization, leveraging CRM and other well know sales techniques to drive new customers.
  • Manage new business and work closely with service teams to ensure well defined onboarding plan and good communications with all key stakeholders.
  • Manage customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Define sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
  • Compile information and data related to customer and prospect interactions.
  • Manage sales database and ensure constant contact with potential clients.
  • Monitor customer, market and competitor activity and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions.
  • Manage key customer relationships and participate in closing strategic opportunities.
  • Regional travel for in-person meetings with customers, partners, trade shows to develop key relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and follow up skills and capabilities.
  • Recruitment industry experience preferred.
  • Adhere to all position KPI’s.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred. 
  • 3+ years in outside sales experience required; must be a hunter.
  • Staffing industry experience preferred.
  • Cold calling experience, necessary.
